Meet the 6th Graders!

This fabulously smart bunch of students is who I've had the privilege of working with this semester!

As a part of my ArtsBridge experience this year I was asked to create a piece on these students for the daCi Utah Day of Dance. I was so excited for this opportunity! The theme this year was "Generations" and so we continued to focus on this concept of [FAMILY] and how that could be related through dance.

I had the idea to ask the students individually, "What is a family?" and record their completely unprepared responses. From these individual recordings I set out to make an original sound score for our daCi piece!
